Wiley vineyard was planted by Brad Wiley in the 1970's. Our Riesling block was planted in 1976, with each couple of end vines planted to Muscat.
This is the most floral vintage so far of this Riesling. Fennel pollen and orange blossoms greet you on the nose, key lime, and tangerine. Feels like your first breath of ocean air!
The palate is full of lemon zest, mango, with a quartz like acidity to the wine. Very focused and concentrated on the palate, leaving your mouth watering. Riesling & Muscat (~5%) cofermented. A combination of vessels for fermentation & aging: concrete egg, a stainless steel barrel, and a neutral Puncheon for 6 months, stirred. 3.08 pH 8.2 TA 12.6% Alc DRY ⚡️
